    48-hour money back guarantee | rights and responsibilities

    • Within 2 consecutive days of delivery you are entitled to a full refund of the purchase price of the car. This needs to be provided in writing or via email within the 48 hours’ period.
    • The vehicle will need to be returned by the owner to the purchasing dealer in the same condition it was at purchase. The exception is fair wear and tear or a mechanical problem that was not caused by you.
    • If the purchase agreement involves a trade in vehicle, we will not sell that trade-in vehicle until the 48-hour money back guarantee period has lapsed
    • Some situations will impact the 48-hour guarantee: If the vehicle is financed, and the amount refundable is not sufficient to payout the loan, then the money back guarantee does not apply. If the vehicle has driven more than 300km before it is returned, the 48-hour money back guarantee does not apply. If the vehicle sustains any damage or has been in an accident before it is returned, the 48-hour money back guarantee does not apply.
    • If the vehicle is financed, and the amount refundable is not sufficient to payout the loan, then the money back guarantee does not apply.
    • If the vehicle has driven more than 300km before it is returned, the 48-hour money back guarantee does not apply.
    • If the vehicle sustains any damage or has been in an accident before it is returned, the 48-hour money back guarantee does not apply.
    • A limit of 2 cars per customer applies in any 12 month period

    We can help with delivery for you across Australia. We have relationships with all of the major transport providers, which means we can provide industry competitive quote at our invoice cost to you.

    Cars need to be insured by customers before being transported. Our transport providers will complete a handover inspection report at pick up and drop off. You need to review the report on the vehicle’s arrival. If you disagree with the report, then you need to record that disagreement on the collection document slip from the transport provider prior to accepting your vehicle.

    MOTORAMA LIFETIME ENGINE GUARANTEE

    1. The Lifetime Engine Guarantee is provided by the Motorama Group on and subject to these Terms and Conditions.
    2. The Motorama Group's Lifetime Engine Guarantee does not adversely affect or supplant the statutory rights of the If the Customer is a Consumer ("Consumer" has the meaning defined in Section 3 of the Competition and Consumer Act 201U), the Vehicle comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. The Customer is entitled to a replacement or refund if the Vehicle suffers from amajor failure as a result of a defective part and/or defective services provided by the Motorama Group, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. The Customer is also entitled to have the Vehicle repaired or replaced (at Motorama Group's sole discretion) if the Vehicle and/or the services provided by the Motorama Group fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

    EXCLUDED VEHICLES

    1. Passenger or commercial vehicles with an odometer reading of more than 160,000 km at the time of purchase by the Customer.
    2. Passenger and commercial vehicles with a build date older than 10 years from the date of its purchase by the Customer.
    3. Commercial vehicles over 5 tons (gross vehicle mass).
    4. Modified Vehicles.
    5. A Vehicle that is used by the Customer to provide the following services:
      1. taxi services;
      2. limousine services;
      3. paid ride sharing services;
      4. hire car services;
      5. courier services;
      6. delivery services.

    DURATION OF THE LIFETIME ENGINE GUARANTEE, DEPENDENCE ON FIRST REGISTERED OWNER.

    1. The Lifetime Engine Guarantee is only for the benefit of the Customer in respect of the Vehicle and no other party may rely on the Lifetime Engine Guarantee in respect of the Vehicle.
    2. Upon the sale (howsoever sold) or trade-in or transfer of registration of the Vehicle by the Customer, the Lifetime Engine Guarantee immediately ceases and is of no further effect in respect of the Vehicle.
    3. The Lifetime Engine Guarantee starts from the date of delivery by the Motorama Group or date of the first registration of the Vehicle in the Customer's name, whichever comes first.

    COVERAGE OF THE LIFETIME ENGINE GUARANTEE

    1. The Motorama Group provides the Lifetime Engine Guarantee free of charge to the Customer, subject to the following conditions:
      1. the Vehicle must be a passenger or commercial vehicle with an odometer reading of less than 160,000 km at the time of sale to the Customer and with the build date of less than 10 years before the date of the sale to the Customer;
      2. all services and repairs must be undertaken at a Motorama Group Service Centre. Should the Vehicle be repaired or serviced by or at any other vehicle servicing provider not within the Motorama Group (without the express written authorisation of the Motorama Group), the Lifetime Engine Guarantee will be voided and will immediately cease to be of any further effect;
      3. the Customer must undertake and be responsible for, at the Customer's expense, all recommended repairs and/or general maintenance in respect of the Vehicle, including the engine components covered by the Lifetime Engine Guarantee (or as the case may be, the continued sound operation of a component or components not covered by the Lifetime Engine Guarantee, but which may be ancillary and/or fundamental to the continued sound operation of the Component or Components covered by the Lifetime Engine Guarantee) within a timeframe recommended by the Motorama Group.
      4. The Customer must undertake all log book servicing in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended servicing schedules and in accordance with 11(b) above. Where the Customer causes the Vehicle to be serviced in accordance with a Motorama Group's Basic Service Program offered by the Motorama Group, then the Motorama Group will deem such a service to have been undertaken in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations for the purposes of this Lifetime Engine.
      5. Motorama Group's liability to replace, free of charge, a Component or Components covered by the Lifetime Engine Guarantee, is limited to circumstances where the Component or Components are damaged and/or fail as a result of an inherent defect in the Component or Components and not in circumstances:
        1. where the Customer fails to undertake repairs and general maintenance in accordance with 11(c) above and such a failure and/or omission results in damage to a Component or Components;
        2. where the Component or Components fail as a result of Improper Use by the Customer;
        3. where a Component or Components are damaged as a result of a collision (howsoever caused) involving the Vehicle;
        4. where a failure of a Component or Components is a result of the Vehicle being driven in extreme conditions against the manufacturers recommended specifications including but not limited to:
          1. in areas of high concentrations of dust, acidity, salt or any other element that left untreated, will cause damage to the Vehicle and its Components;
          2. submerging the Vehicle in water;
          3. in areas of extreme heat or cold;
          4. in areas of rough terrain.
          5. where a failure of a Component or Components is a result of the Vehicle being driven in an illegal manner.
        5. The Motorama Group reserves the right to appoint its own independent engineer or mechanic to inspect the Vehicle prior to any repair or replacement of a Component or Components to determine whether damage to a Component or Components was as a result of the matters set out in clause 11(e)(i)-(iv).

    COMPONENTS COVERED BY THE LIFETIME ENGINE GUARANTEE

    1. The Lifetime Engine Guarantee is valid only for the following Components of the Vehicle: The engine block (if damaged by internal components), balance shaft, balance shaft bearings, camshafts, camshaft bearings, internal bushes, connecting rods, big end bearings, crankshaft, crankshaft main bearings, oil pressure relief valve, oil pump, piston rings, gudgeon pins, pistons, crank thrust bearings, air pump, throttle cables, meshing timing gears.

    COMPONENTS NOT COVERED BY THE LIFETIME ENGINE GUARANTEE

    1. All components not specifically listed in paragraph 12 of these Terms are excluded from the Lifetime Engine Guarantee.

    DEFINITIONS

    1. In these Terms and Conditions:
      1. "Component" means a part or element of the engine listed in clause 12 of these Terms and Conditions;
      2. "Customer" means the entity that purchased the Vehicle from a dealership within the Motorama Group and became the registered owner of the Vehicle as a result of that purchase;
      3. "Improper Use" means the Customer operating the Vehicle in a manner that is inconsistent with the manufacturer's recommended normal operating conditions;
      4. "Excluded Vehicles" means those vehicles which are not covered by the Lifetime Engine Guarantee being vehicles that fall into any of the category set out at clauses 3 to 7 of these Terms and Conditions;
      5. "Modified Vehicle" means any vehicle that has been materially altered or enhanced from such a vehicle standard specification and performance characteristics as manufactured by the manufacturer;
      6. "Motorama Group" means the MHPL Investment Pty Ltd group of companies consisting of the following companies: Motorama Management Pty Ltd; Motorama Hillcrest Pty Ltd; Motorama Moorooka Pty Ltd; Motorama City Motors Pty Ltd; Motorama Automotive Pty Ltd; Motorama Mitsubishi Springwood Pty Ltd; Motorama Mitsubishi Springwood Pty Ltd; Motorama Springwood Pty Ltd.
      7. "Motorama Group Basic Program" means the various servicing programs offered by the Motorama Group and available for purchase by the Customer for small passenger vehicles, four-wheeled drive vehicles or V8 model vehicles.
      8. "Motorama Group Service Centre" means any service or repair business owned and operated by the Motorama Group.
      9. "Terms and Conditions" means these Terms and Conditions
      10. "Vehicle" means the vehicle purchased by the Customer.
      11. "Wear and Tear" means damage that naturally and inevitably occurs as a result of normal wear or aging;
