Become a 4x4xMORE Trip Leader

In 2015, Motorama decided to engage further with our customers beyond just the initial transaction of a purchase or service. 

We launched 4x4xMORE Tag-Along Tours - exclusive guided tours open to customers who has purchased or serviced their new or pre-owned 4x4 from a Motorama dealership or service centre. 

Our tag-along tours traverse iconic south-east Queensland off-road destinations where Motorama with the focus on allowing customers to learn the off-road capabilities of their 4x4 under the guidance of trained trip leaders and benefit from the peace of mind knowing a safe recovery from our team is right there if required.

Since the initial trip, we have now had thousands of customers attend our Motorama 4x4xMORE trips.

Throughout the year we generally host around 10 to 12 tag-along tours. These are predominantly day trips, with 1 or 2 weekend trips where we camp with the customers. 

 Trips are set to certain skill levels, with typically the basic / intermediate the more popular trips as customers look to build their confidence in a group environment.

Due to restrictions on accessing group vehicle permits, we typically focus more on 'bush' locations.  

This includes locations like Mt Mee, Janowen Hills 4WD Park, Gordon Country, The Springs 4x4 Park, Kenilworth, Blackbutt etc.    

We are always scouting for new locations and tracks.

Motorama will pay for your training and any fees associated with the trips.   

Once you are fully trained and qualified to lead a group, you will be paid a daily rate.   

For the weekend camping events, you will be required to attend Friday and you will be paid your normal days pay as if you were at work.

To ensure maximum customer attendance, our events are run on a Saturday or Sunday (sometimes both days at the same venue) depending on the location.

We aim to run 1 trip per month apart from December and January due to holidays.

We have an affiliation to 4x4 Queensland who help provide us with off road training.  

There are 2 levels of training:

• Basic 4x4 training level (Driver Awareness Program) to ensure you are familiar with the basics of 4x4. This is a theory (via zoom) & a practical weekend / hands on experience. This training is scheduled for April 6 (theory - allow 2-3 hours) and April 20-21st (practical application). A 4x4xMORE vehicle can be available for this weekend. 
• The second level of training (suggested after 6-12 months from the first pending experience) is to learn and apply skills in how to be a 4x4 trainer & have awareness in proper recovery techniques etc.  This level of training allows you to run or lead tag-along tours. 

Yes, you can, however, they need to understand that you have a job to do and will be called upon to complete a variety of tasks, especially on weekend trips.  

On weekend trips there are periods of down time where you will be able to spend time with them.

We are looking for Motorama Team members who are interested and available to attend our 4x4xMORE events to assist our current team members in running them.  

You should have:

• Interest in 4x4 / Off-roading / Outdoors / Camping
• Familiar with various late model 4x4 models
  
• Friendly, team-focused approach
  
• Helpful & respectful to customers of all experience levels
  
• Available for at least two day trips, and ideally one weekend trip per year
  

We will supply a Motorama 4x4xMORE vehicle for all designated trips.

You do not need a 4x4 or to use your own vehicle.
