Wishes come true at Motorama

For kids living with serious illnesses, in hospital, it can be hard to keep the Christmas spirit.

But it is the season for giving, and at Motorama we’re doing everything to help out.

The Starlight Foundation was founded in 1988 to transform the lives of seriously ill children through programs that brighten the lives of kids and their families going through some of the toughest of times.

The Starlight Wish program is one of the better-known ways that the charity helps out.

Over 8,000 Starlight Wishes have been granted since 1988 and this Christmas, Motorama is partnering with the Starlight Foundation to make dreams come true for sick kids and their families.

Caring is one of the key values for the Motorama Group and its employees, and Motorama encourages staff to live these values – with months of the year dedicated to the six core values at the heart of Motorama’s commitment to customers and the community.

As such, December is dedicated to the value of caring and the partnership with the Starlight Foundation.

Motorama CEO Mark Woelders outlined how values guide Motorama as a business.

"Caring - not only for our business and our customers - but for the community is incredibly important for Motorama. The month of December is all about focusing on caring; so it makes perfect sense to lend a hand to the Starlight Foundation," he said.

For $10, customers can purchase a Starlight Wish Star to hang on the Christmas trees in the showroom and service departments at Motorama – with all money raised helping grant wishes for seriously ill children and their families.

Mark Woelders believes that the partnership will give seriously deserving kids the chance to have a great Christmas despite what they’re going through.

“The Starlight Foundation provides a lot of magic to kids going through a really hard time, and I’m proud that Motorama can help in the lead up to the holidays,” he said.
