$39 Safety Inspection

Looking to sell your car and need a Safety Certificate, but don't know what to expect?

At Motorama Browns Plains, you can now get a Safety Inspection to learn what will be required for your vehicle to be declared roadworthy, and it will only cost you $39.

Why do a Safety Inspection?

In Queensland, if you are selling your car privately, re-registering or transferring the registration, you are required by law to have a Safety Certificate.

A Safety Certificate is issued after a car passes a minimum safety standard inspection. If you intend to sell your car privately, you must display this certificate clearly once you offer the vehicle for sale.

You never know what repairs are necessary for your vehicle to obtain a Safety Certificate, but by doing a Safety Inspection first, you can find out beforehand for a small fee of $39.

What to do after the Safety Inspection?

After completing the Safety Inspection you have a few options:

1. If you require any repairs, you can get them done in our workshop and obtain an official Safety Certificate. A Safety Certificate is just $92.90. If you go ahead with any repairs and the Safety Certificate, you will not be charged the inspection fee.

2. Get a complimentary valuation done on your car while it's here. You can sell your car to us. That way you don't have to worry about carrying out any repairs, or obtaining a Safety Certificate. We'll take care of that, and make you an offer on the spot. You just literally 'take the money', and we take your car.

3. Drive home with the knowledge of what needs to be done to make your car roadworthy and obtain a Safety Certificate. You can carry out or arrange your own repairs.
