Safety Certificates

All our Motorama Service Departments are approved issuers by the Queensland Government.

What is it?

In Queensland, if you are selling your car privately, re-registering or transferring the registration, you are required by law to have a Safety Certificate.

A Safety Certificate is issued after a car passes a minimum safety standard inspection. If you intend to sell your car privately, you must display this certificate clearly once you offer the vehicle for sale.

Motorama provide Safety Certificates for;

• Cars
• Utes
• 4WD
• Light commercial (up to 4.5 tonnes)

What do you inspect?

Any component that could affect the safe operation of the car is inspected. This includes;

• Tyres
• Brakes
• Suspension
• Body rust or damage
• Lights
• Seat belts
• Hand brake
• Windscreens
