Foodbank Queensland rescues food and groceries earmarked for landfill from farmers, manufacturers and retailers. The produce is then redistributed to front line charities, providing to individuals and families in need.

It’s hard to believe there are Queenslanders going without food in the ‘lucky country’ but the reality is we’re all likely to know someone who is affected.

It’s not just people on the street, but people in our streets. And for people living in regional and remote parts of the state, they are 33% more likely to have experienced food insecurity than people living in cities, made worse by the current drought.

Your support means we can provide food to people in need. 12,430 people seeking food relief every month go empty handed, because demand outstrips supply, but you have just made it possible to provide 150 more meals.
