After launching in Brisbane in 2019, Motorama's Car Subscription service Motopool is planning to expand nationally to include outlets in Sydney & Melbourne.
Motopool's Car Subscription, a genuine alternative to car ownership, has seen a massive up tick in demand since launch as the need for different transport mobility options keeps growing.
As the Motopool subscription base grew, many of our customers loved the fact that the subscription service took away all the administrative burden of vehicle ownership, like registration & insurance renewals, vehicle maintenance and servicing responsibilities. This was replaced with one simple, weekly payment.
"Expanding the concept nationally became a viable option once we realised that we had a solid product offering that provided a real customer benefit. The final piece was working to get the technology, processes and people right within Motopool" explains Motopool General Manager, Caleb Gunn.
"As we've expanded, we moved to a new technology platform offering a seamless user experience. Subscribers can now be approved in as little as a couple of minutes, and then the next step is selecting a suitable vehicle solution that suits their needs & budget"
"With more & more customers adding to the subscription service, we've now added a rewards program for customers who use Motopool for 12 or 24 months" Caleb added.
Motopool offers access to three different plans to cover anybody's needs and budget. To break it down, our plans are tailored primarily towards how many km’s are likely to be travelled in a week. The total premium will also increase depending on the value of the vehicle. Customers can also change this plan type at any stage during the term, for no additional cost, giving customers the ultimate flexibility.
By the end of 2021, Motopool is looking to have expanded the subscription business to outlets in both Sydney & Melbourne. Other capital cities across Australia are on the radar beyond this.
"The business is certainly scaleable, and we feel we are bring to market a very sustainable & differentiated product offering - to not only car ownership, but to other subscription players in the market. We get a huge stream of enquiry from the Sydney & Melbourne markets currently"
"It is an exciting point in time for Motopool as we roll out beyond Brisbane & SE Qld" Caleb explained.
Car Subscription is the way of the future
"We have seen a shift in the way consumers view owning a car vs using mobility solutions"
Australians traditionally like to own their vehicles so that they have access to them at all times. At the same time, they also have very active and varied lifestyles.
With a subscription you are able to get the best of both worlds - access to a vehicle hassle free and with the ability to not lock into one certain vehicle and match you car to your lifestyle", said Motopool's General Manager Caleb Gunn.
