Every December is Care Month at Motorama and this year the team at Motorama Toyota Moorooka ventured out to collect over 100 boxes from for Foodbank Queensland. "For Care Month our 'Can Do' Committee wanted to help a charity that reflected the Christmas spirit and they chose the Foodbank Queensland", Toyota Moorooka General Manager Terry Beyer explains. "The idea was to help Foodbank deliver food to those in need and this is how it played out:We were given a list of 9 locations from hospitals to police stations in Mudgeeraba, Nerang, Southport, Runaway Bay and Jimboomba where we had to pick up boxes of food, 129 in total. Thankfully Service Manager Mark Harris volunteered to help Terry and together they toget a few vans together and knock it all over in one hit.
"Firstly, I'd like to thank the Can Do Committee for coming up with the idea and Mark Harris for joining me on the collections. It was a big day and I couldn't have done it without his help", says Terry.
He continues: "Now having experienced first hand the work of Foodbank, White Cloud and Starlight Express I have no doubt the charity donation from Motorama are going to three very worthy charities that suit our company values."
