Toyota Introduces Warranty Advantage

The Toyota Warranty Advantage - a standard five year manufacturer warranty for all new Toyota vehicles sold from January 1, 2019 – includes unlimited kilometres for private buyers and 160,000km for vehicles used for commercial purposes. All vehicles across the range, including petrol, diesel and hybrid drivetrains enjoy the five-year protection and a range of other benefits. One of which is a 60-day money back guarantee: a full refund for any failure that prevents the vehicle being driveable within 60 days of collection. Plus towing to the nearest Toyota Dealer and a loan car is covered.

​SERVICE ADVANTAGE

With the new Toyota Service Advantage all new vehicles now also can be serviced for a capped price. The HiLux for example costs $180 (petrol) or $240 (diesel) for each of the first six scheduled services over three years or 60,000km. The Corolla hybrid will set you back $175 for each of the first five annual scheduled services over five years or 75,000km.

Beyond the five-year period vehicles that undergo scheduled logbook servicing get an additional two year coverage for the engine and transmission. If you get your hybrid battery inspected annually their warranty is extended to 10 years/unlimited kilometres. The Warranty Advantage also applies to Toyota genuine parts and accessories.

MARKET LEADER

For the 16th year in a row Toyota has been crowned market leader in Australia selling 217,061 vehicles in 2018. The majority of these were HiLux, the best selling vehicle in the country with a record 51,705 deliveries; an increase of almost 10 per cent.

Not only the HiLux proofed popular, four Toyota SUVs – RAV4, LandCruiser, Prado, Kluger and C-HR – also set a new sales record. The passenger-car sales chart was topped by the Corolla for a sixth consecutive year, while the Camry celebrated its 25th straight year as the country’s best-selling mid-size car.
